TRIPLE CROWN UPDATE: EARLY PREAKNESS ODDS

After so many delays caused by the infamous Covid-19 pandemic, the Triple Crown series is finally picking up speed: Bob Baffert’s Authentic took massive favorite Tiz the Law down on a last stretch showdown during last Saturday’s Kentucky Derby, and to nobody’s shock, he is now listed by some daring international racebooks as the likely winner of the upcoming Preakness Stakes.

Naturally, due to the rescheduling of The Triple Crown dates this year, you might feel a little lost about their 2020 order: The Belmont Stakes took place first (June 20th), followed by the classic Kentucky Derby on Sept. 5th, and now, the 145th edition of the Preakness Stakes will close the racing cycle on October 3rd.

Lest we forget: make sure to check out JAZZSports.ag’s betting board regularly for their upcoming odds on the Preakness Stakes 2020.  You will find varied betting pools, match-up odds and many other alternatives to spice up your racing season.

Authentic Leads Early Odds

Some may think it a bit too early to consider Preakness prices, but international odds broker Oddschecker has already released its early list of prices, which you can see partially in the chart appearing right below.

Preakness Stakes 2020 Early Odds *

TOP 5 Positions

Authentic+120Probable
Tiz the Law+250Unlikely
Art Collector+450Probable

No more than 13 horses are expected to ultimately run at the Preakness, but, as the post positions cannot yet be confirmed, early odds listings might push up 32 betting options for the player to consider. Tiz the Law is one such improbable betting choice, but his commendable performances throughout the year have convinced many pundits that he will be dropping by on Oct. 3rd.

Even though listed with a +600 money line price, Honor A.P. is highly likely to miss the race; King Guillermo, Thousand Words and Art Collector are all expected to enter the race, as long as their health permits it.

Betting on Authentic

We understand some players may think Authentic a good early price, especially those bettors prone to expect repeats during the Triple Crown races, however, the returning price isn’t as attractive just yet (+120). It might just improve as the next few weeks come by, which is why we recommend to hold off for now, while the positions are more fully confirmed.
