This edition of the Weekend Race Card is very light, due to the fact that the Breeders’ Cup Championships will take place this very next weekend at Keeneland Race Course. The only major race on the docket for this weekend is thus the Bold Ruler Handicap, set for Belmont Park on Halloween.

Phat Man comes in as one of the leading horses in this race. The six-year-old gelding is trained by J. Kent Sweezey. His career record, in 27 starts, is 7-8-1 with $518,253 in earnings. In 2020, he has started two races, with a win and a second place. He hasn’t raced since February 29, when he came in second at the Gulfstream Park Mile Stakes (Grade II). He won on January 25 at the Fred W. Hooper Stakes (Grade III). He posted a 110 Speed Figure in that race.
Majestic Dunhill is another strong entry in the race. A five-year-old Gelding, his trainer is George Weaver. In 20 starts, he has a career record of 4-4-4 with $318,214 in earnings. This year, he has raced five times, including two second-place finishes and one third. His last race came on September 25, in an allowance optional claiming race at Belmont Park, where he came in second. That was a nice bounceback from a ninth-place finish at the Forego Stakes (Grade I) on August 29.
